eBay Customer Knowledge Base logo

eBay was in the process of enhancing their knowledge base platform to ensure it was accessible and responsive for both employees and customers.

I played a key role in developing the new layout for the Customer Service Knowledge Base by rewriting the CSS to ensure it was up-to-date and responsive. Additionally, I took on the role of graphic designer, creating the new logo for CSKB, as well as infographics, announcements, and posters. My experience at eBay was incredibly rewarding, as I contributed to a resource that is utilized globally by the customer service team with ease. I also managed the “Favorites” section within the CSKB, recognizing the importance of having quick access to preferred answers.

The Team

Based on the original plan we researched, my role was to streamline the existing knowledge base platform to enhance user experience through improved navigation and user interface. I designed a UI that offered straightforward steps when specific items were selected, and I developed sketches, wireframes, frameworks, and prototypes to bring this vision to life.

Planning

After creating several wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, along with conducting thorough quality assurance, I would hand over the work to the development team and make any necessary adjustments. These deliverables were therefore transformed into reusable patterns and components for future projects.

Design and Launch

After months of preparation, testing, and quality assurance, along with announcements and a satisfied customer service team, the new CSKB was successfully launched—celebration included!

New CSKB Logo

eBay tasked me with creating a logo for their internal Customer Service Knowledge Base (CSKB). The process began with stakeholder workshops to define requirements, style preferences, and the overall tone the logo needed to convey.

From there, I moved into concept exploration, starting with quick hand sketches in my Moleskine notebook. After refining the strongest directions, I transitioned into Adobe Illustrator to build vector options.

The final logo achieved a balance of clarity, simplicity, and professionalism, aligning with eBay’s established brand standards while giving CSKB its own distinct identity. The design was approved and adopted — and it continues to be used today as part of their internal service ecosystem.

Would you like me to make this one short and punchy (like a quick case study block for your one-pager) or a bit more detailed and narrative (like the Soundsoil example)?

New CSKB Dashboard

I was tasked with creating a responsive dashboard design entirely from scratch — from initial wireframes and mockups through to HTML and CSS handoff for development.

The design needed to scale seamlessly across monitor sizes, so I built it with flexible layouts and responsiveness at its core. To maximize workspace, I included an expandable footer drawer that provided additional room for controls and details without cluttering the main view.

I also designed the structure to be easily updatable, ensuring future teams could build on the foundation without rework. The end result was a clean, functional, and scalable dashboard that served as the starting point for ongoing development.

Role: UX/UI Designer, Front-End Developer (HTML/CSS)
Key Features: Responsive layout, expandable footer drawer, scalable for future updates

Infographics & Release Announcements

While originally contracted for web and UI/UX design, I was often asked to step in on visual communication projectsbecause of my broad design background. This included creating infographics, product release announcements, and internal communications that clarified complex information in a visually engaging way.

By blending clear messaging with strong visuals, I helped teams communicate more effectively with stakeholders and end users — ensuring new features and releases were understood and well received.
