Design and Launch
After meticulous preparation, we successfully launched the platform. The support team was on hand to address questions, and we hosted a grand opening event, welcoming invited guests from across the nation for a live demonstration and product walkthrough. The event generated excitement and confidence among stakeholders. At the same time, we were already planning the next version update, incorporating enhanced features and the latest technologies.
Impact
The redesigned platform delivered a streamlined, user-friendly experience for geoscientists, improved adoption by stakeholders, and established a strong brand presence for iCORDS in the industry.
Notes, wireframes, and mock-ups
To illustrate the evolution of the iCORDS platform, I included key examples of my notes, wireframes, and mockups. These artifacts show how early concepts were transformed into polished, functional designs through iterative collaboration with stakeholders and the development team.
-
Notes & Sketches – Capturing initial ideas, requirements, and domain-specific workflows
-
Wireframes – Structuring navigation and user flows for clarity and usability
-
Mockups – Refining the visual design and aligning with the established brand identity
Together, these steps highlight my end-to-end design process, from ideation through execution, ensuring the platform met both stakeholder and user needs.
Early wireframes
fter the initial discussions with geologists and developers, I began translating requirements into the first set of wireframes. These sketches outlined navigation, data display, and workflow patterns specific to the geoscience domain.
At the same time, I was also contributing to the marketing and branding side of the project, ensuring that the product’s identity stayed consistent across both the platform and external communications.
These early wireframes served as the foundation for mockups and prototypes, bridging technical requirements with stakeholder expectations.

iCords Refined Mockups
Based on feedback from the initial wireframes, I created a series of high-fidelity mockups that refined layout, navigation, and visual styling. These mockups incorporated stakeholder input, streamlined user workflows, and aligned with the evolving brand identity.
Once reviewed, these designs were signed off for development, serving as the blueprint for building the platform. This milestone ensured both geoscientists and business stakeholders were confident in the direction before coding began.
Branding and Marketing
In addition to the platform UX/UI, I directed the branding and marketing for iCORDS to ensure the product had a strong, consistent identity from launch. This included:
-
Logo Design – Establishing a professional and recognizable mark to represent the platform.
-
Brochure Design – Creating clear, visually engaging collateral for stakeholders and potential clients.
-
Infographics – Designing data-driven visuals to explain complex geoscience concepts in a way that was both accessible and persuasive.
These materials worked hand-in-hand with the platform design, reinforcing the brand across product, marketing, and stakeholder communications.
